F. FAILURE OF JAWS TO GRIP PIPE

1. POSSIBLE PROBLEM: Dies have become too dull.

SOLUTION: Replace dies.

2. POSSIBLE PROBLEM: Brake band insufficiently adjusted, not allowing jaws to cam properly.

SOLUTION: Adjust brake bands to give proper resistance to cage plates.

3. POSSIBLE PROBLEM: Jaw roller broken or worn.

SOLUTION: Replace roller.
